Regulations & guidelines

All European based banks that store human tissues and cells have to comply with the EU Cells and Tissue Directive. In the UK this is enforced by the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) and Medicines and Health Regulatory Agency (MHRA). 

Cells4Life has been audited and approved as a leading umbilical cord blood storage bank in the UK by the MHRA. Similarly the HTA have approved and licensed Cells4Life Ltd as a human cell storage facility. 

Cells4Life exceeds all minimum standards of ISO 9000 Good Laboratory Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice. All samples are tested according to the following statutory guidelines:
